Border Cats Bats Heat Up, Cruise Past the Huskies

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Thunder Bay Border Cats used a six-run eighth inning and a strong outing from Steven Cazares en route to beating the Huskies 11-4 at Wade Stadium during Jimmy Buffett night on Saturday.

Chris Cervantes lasted just 4 2/3 innings for Duluth, giving up four runs on six hits while striking out four. His counterpart, Steven Cazares pitched seven innings and gave up four runs for the Border Cats.

Michael Suiter, Brad Wilson, and Justin Hazard all knocked in a run for Duluth.

The Huskies and Border Cats will battle again on Sunday at 2:05 p.m. at Wade Stadium.
