Huskies Finish 2012 NWL Season with Loss

Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The Duluth Huskies closed out play in the 2012 Northwoods League regular season on Sunday, falling 5-4 to Alexandria in front of 2,038 fans at Wade Stadium in Duluth.

Austin Dubberly led the way offensively for the Huskies, batting 2-for-4 with a run batted in. The other players to drive in runs for Duluth were Trey Vavra and Brian Hansen.

Joey Novak pitched six innings and was charged with the loss, allowing five runs on six hits while also striking out six batters.

Duluth finishes the second half of the Northwoods League season with a (19-17) record, with the team posting a (38-32) for the 2012 season overall.
