Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Daniel Hersey will return in the 2013 season for his fourth year as field manager of the Duluth Huskies, the team announced on Friday afternoon.

Hersey has compiled an overall record of (102-101) during his three seasons with the Huskies and in 2012 helped the team to a (38-32) mark.

"Coach Hersey's experience in both recruiting and overall knowledge of the Northwoods League will reap benefits for our program in 2013," Duluth general manager Craig Smith said. "College coaches across the country can sleep well at night knowing that Coach Hersey not only takes care of their players but makes them better players during the summer season."

Hersey and his wife, Catherine, now live in Duluth, and he provides a year-round presence in sales and baseball operations for the Huskies.
