Huskies Rally Falls Short in Home Loss

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Duluth Huskies rallied from a six-run deficit on Thursday night, but the Wisconsin Woodchucks held them off in the end and took an 8-5 win to start the Huskies' season-ending four-game home stand at Wade Stadium.

St. Scholastica pitcher Padraic Getchell had a rough start for Duluth, lasting just 3.2 innings while allowing five runs on seven hits.

Hermantown, Minn. native Kevin Folman then came into to pitch four innings for the Huskies, allowing just one run on two hits. University of Minnesota Duluth's (UMD) Bo Hellquist then recorded just one out before exiting the game for the Huskies.

Brett Urabe was the offensive leader for Duluth, going 3-for-4 at the plate while knocking in two runs in the losing effort.

Duluth is now (18-15) in the Northwoods League second half and 2.5 games behind first place Waterloo with three games to play in the regular season.
