Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Several players from the Duluth Huskies arrived in the Northland on Saturday while the rest of the team will be in town by Sunday, ahead of their first official practice and home opener on Tuesday night.

Last year, the Huskies reached the Northwoods League Championship Series for the first time since 2004.

With some guys returning from that squad, Huskies manager Daniel Hersey is looking forward to gelling together the new players with the old.

"It's always fun to get the new guys in here," Hersey said. "The guys are coming from all over the country. It's always fun to see how they gel with the other guys here and build a good, quality team and the camaraderie. The biggest thing is the guys coming out here having a good time, play the game right, and just get better."
