Huskies Split Home Opener Double-Header

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- UMD All-American and Huskies infielder Alex Wojciechowski had an RBI single in his first at-bat and batted in another run as the Huskies cruised to a 7-1 win in game of a doubleheader against Mankato before falling 7-2 in game two.

Jake Heissler gave up just one run for Duluth in game one. Michael Suiter had two RBI's and Trey Vavra batted in a run for the Huskies.

In game two, the Huskies were within a run after three innings but the Moondogs scored five unanswered runs en route to winning it.

The Huskies (3-2) will host St. Cloud on Monday at 6:35 p.m.
