IFalls' Gordon Up for Two CHL Awards

International Falls, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- International Falls, Minn. native Ben Gordon has been named one of five finalists for the Central Hockey League (CHL) most valuable player and man of the year awards, it was announced on Wednesday.

The most valuable player award will be given to the most outstanding player in the CHL, while the man of the year award will be presented to the player "adjudged to have best exemplified strong leadership qualities on and off the ice, while making significant and noteworthy humanitarian contributions to his community."

Gordon has played 57 games this season for the Tulsa Oilers, totaling 35 goals and 48 assists for 83 total points that puts him fourth in the CHL scoring race.

The CHL man of the year award will be presented on March 25, while the league's most valuable player award will be given out on March 31.
