Columbus, OH (NNCNOW.com) --- International Falls, Minn. native Brady Hjelle has been named for a second straight week the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) goaltender of the week, it was announced on Monday.
Hjelle allowed just one goal in Ohio State's weekend sweep of Michigan State, stopping 53-of-54 shots in his first back-to-back starts of the 2012-13 season.
The former Broncos standout has a 1.23 goals-against average and .957 save percentage, ranking second in Division I and first in the CCHA in both categories.
Hjelle played two seasons at the University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) before leaving for Ohio State, appearing in two games for the Bulldogs and posting a (1-0-0) overall record.
He made 32 saves in his UMD career from 2008-10, finishing with a 1.50 goals-against average and a .941 save percentage.
