IFalls Native Hjelle Up For CCHA Player of the Year

Columbus, OH (NNCNOW.com) --- International Falls, Minn. native and Ohio State senior goaltender Brady Hjelle is one of three finalists for the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) player of the year award, it was announced on Thursday.

The former Broncos star was named earlier this week to the all-CCHA first team, that after finishing first in the league with four conference shutouts this season.

He also finished the regular season second in the CCHA with a .937 saves percentage and a 1.89 goals-against average.

Hjelle has five times this season been named the CCHA goaltender of the week, posting an overall record of (12-9-4) for the Buckeyes.

The winner of the CCHA player of the year award will be announced on March 22 at the conference's award banquet in Detroit, Mich.
