'Jackets Picked 5th in WIAC Baseball Poll

Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- The UW-Superior baseball team has been picked to finish fifth in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC), that according to a preseason poll released Thursday of the league's head coaches and sports information directors.

The Yellowjackets return all their starting position players from the 2012 season, including last year's WIAC home runs leader in sophomore T.J. Evanson and the fifth-leading hitter in junior Wyatt Soderquist.

The Yellowjackets posted an overall record of (17-22) in the 2012 season and an (8-16) mark against WIAC opponents.

Already the program's winningest head coach, Eddy Morgan returns for a seventh season with UW-Superior just 11 wins shy of 100 career victories.
