(Northland's NewsCenter) --- The Cloquet and Esko-Carlton girls' soccer teams are very familiar with one another, and the next time they meet it will be in the Section 7A championship game.
The Lumberjacks beat top-seeded Princeton 1-0 in a shootout on Tuesday afternoon, and Esko-Carlton toppled #2-seed Hermantown 2-1 in overtime.
The two teams traded wins against one another in the regular season, with Cloquet taking a 2-0 win in the first meeting and Esko-Carlton a 2-0 win in the second.
The Section 7A title game is scheduled for October 18 at Public Schools Stadium, with kickoff set for 6:00 p.m.
