San Francisco, CA (NNCNOW.com) --- San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick threw for 412 yards and three touchdowns on Sunday afternoon, leading his 49ers to a 34-28 victory over the Green Bay Packers in the 2013 regular season opener.

It was almost a role reversal for Kaepernick from his team's NFC divisional playoff win over Green Bay last season, in which he set an NFL record for quarterback rushing yards.

Aaron Rodgers, meanwhile, completed 21-of-37 passes for 333 yards and three touchdowns and an interception. His attempt at a last-second, game-winning touchdown, though, fell harmlessly to the ground as he was pressured by the San Francisco defense.

Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb were both over 100 yards in receiving yards, with each totaling seven catches and a touchdown in the losing effort.

Eddie Lacy was the Packers' leading rusher, getting 14 carries for 41 yards and a touchdown.

Green Bay is now (0-1) this season and will next be in action on September 15 at home against the Washington Redskins.
