Chicago, IL (NNCNOW.com) --- Patrick Kane scored two goals in the third period on Friday night and the Chicago Blackhawks beat the Minnesota Wild 5-2 to take a 1-0 series lead in the Western Conference semifinals. Minnesota got third period goals from Jason Pominville and Kyle Brodziak to tie the game at 2-2 before falling behind 2-0 after two periods, but Kane then scored two straight goals before Bryan Bickell secured the win with an empty-net tally. Ilya Bryzgalov made the start in goal for the Wild, making 17 saves to take the loss, while Corey Crawford finished the game with 30 saves for the Blackhawks. Game two of the Western Conference semifinals is set for 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, with Northland viewers able to see the game on KBJR6 and Range 11.
