Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Jamie Kenyon has been named the captain of the University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) women's hockey team for the 2013-14 season, the school officially announced this week. Kenyon, a native of Sparta, Wis., will take over for departed senior Jessica Wong in the captain role, that after she served as an alternate captain as a junior. "It means a lot to have coach trust in me and all my teammates there for me and feel comfortable that I can be their leader," Kenyon said. "I'm excited in anticipation for next year not only because I am a leader, but because I know wehave the tools to have a very successful season." Duluth, Minn. native Emma Stauber and Zoe Hickel will serve as the Bulldogs' alternate captains, with Stauber becoming just the second Duluth native to have that honor.
