Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Alyssa Kerkhoff banked in a buzzer-beating three pointer for the University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) women's basketball team, lifting the Bulldogs to a 83-82 home win over Michigan Tech on Saturday afternoon. Kerkhoff scored a game-high 20 points in the winning effort for UMD, but obviously no shot was bigger than her game-winning three as time expired. Barnum, Minn. native Katrina Newman was also in double digits with 16 points for UMD, as were Hannah Rutten (12 points) and Courtney Doucette (11 points). The Bulldogs improve to (2-1) this season and will next be in action November 20 against UW-Superior. Posted by Zach Schneider Bio - Facebook - Twitter - E-Mail
