Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Lakeview Christian Academy senior guard Anders Broman became on Thursday the first athlete from that school to sign a Division I letter of intent, inking an agreement to attend South Dakota State.

Broman will likely become Minnesota's all-time leading scorer this season, entering just 252 points behind the current record-holder, Kevin Noreen.

The fastest player in state history to eclipse 3,000 career points, Broman also holds the state single-season scoring record after finishing with 1,311 points in his junior season.

Adding to his local fame, Broman helped lead Lakeview Christian Academy to its first-ever MSHSL Class A tournament in the 2011-12 season.
