Lumberjacks' Howard is UMAC Player of the Week

Ashland, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Northland College freshman Mitch Howard has been named the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) baseball player of the week, it was announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Howard started eight games in five different positions for the Lumberjacks, hitting for a .500 average with three triples while driving in nine runs.

He and the Lumberjacks are now (3-5) this season and will next be in action March 22-23 as they travel to Milwaukee, Wis. to play against Wisconsin Lutheran and the Milwaukee School or Engineering.
