Lumberjills' Loy Named to All-Region Team

Ashland, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Northland College senior softball player Jayna Loy has been named to the National Fastpitch Coaches' Association (NFCA) all-Midwest Region first team, it was announced on Monday afternoon.

Joy led Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) hitters this season with a .495 batting average and nine home runs, and she was also fourth in the league with 36 runs batted in.

She also posted a (7-15) record in the pitcher's circle for the Lumberjills, finishing the year with a 5.94 earned run average and 65 strikeouts across 114.1 innings pitched.

Joy helped Northland finish the season with an overall record of (13-23) and advance to the UMAC postseason championship game.
