Lynx's Whalen, Brunson are WNBA All-Stars

Minneapolis, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Minnesota Lynx guard Lindsay Whalen and forward Rebekkah Brunson have each been named a reserve for the Western Conference in the 2013 WNBA All-Star Game, it was announced on Tuesday.

Each will be making her third All-Star appearance and will be joining teammates Maya Moore and Seimone Augustus, both of whom were chosen as starters for the Western Conference.

Whalen is averaging 16.1 points per game this season for Minnesota, and she's added 5.3 assists per contest that places his fourth in the WNBA.

Brunson, meanwhile, is averaging 10.6 points and 9.2 rebounds per game this season and recently became the all-time leading rebounder in franchise history.

The 2013 WNBA All-Star Game is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on July 27, with the Western Conference to be coached by Minnesota's Cheryl Reeve and her staff.
