Willow River, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Moose Lake-Willow River football team scored 24 unanswered points in the second half on Thursday night en route to a 24-20 win over Hermantown in the 2013 season opener for both teams.

The Hawks jumped out to a 20-0 lead at halftime, but it was all Rebels in a second half that included a lengthy delay following thunder and lightning in the immediate area.

The win extends Moose Lake-Willow's regular-season winning streak to 55 games and moves the team to (1-0) this season, while Hermantown falls to (0-1).
