NBA: Officials Missed Foul Call on Last Play

March 28, 2013 Updated Mar 28, 2013 at 4:21 PM CST

Minneapolis, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The NBA made a statement on Thursday afternoon stating that officials missed a foul call on Kobe Bryant in the closing seconds of Los Angeles' 120-117 win on Wednesday over Minnesota.

The statement says Bryant should have been called for a foul as Ricky Rubio attempted a three-point shot to tie the game as time expired, which would have given Rubio three free throws.

The Timberwolves' guard was incensed that no foul call came and visibly argued with the officials, but the visiting Lakers left with the 120-117 victory.
