Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Former UMD forward Travis Oleksuk said on Wednesday he believes the Bulldogs' coaches play a big role in preparing their players for the professional level.

Those comments came one day after Oleksuk signed an entry-level contract with San Jose and on the same day UMD sophomore J.T. Brown signed an entry-level deal with Tampa Bay.

The outgoing Bulldogs senior said that while UMD may not have as many NHL draft picks on the roster as some other schools, he believes the coaching staff does a great job of developing their players into NHL-ready talent.
