Proctor, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Minnesota native NHRA drivers Greg Anderson and Jason Line were in Proctor Wednesday night, helping to raise funds for ALS research.

Line, a Wright native, is currently first in the NHRA Pro Stock standings and will be racing this weekend at Brainerd International Raceway (BIR).

Anderson, a Duluth native and Denfeld graduate, is also entered this weekend at BIR, currently sitting second in the NHRA Pro Stock standings.

Combined, they have won three of the past four races on the NHRA Pro Stock circuit, but Anderson is the only one of the two with a win at BIR.

The Summit Racing teammates said they both want to win at their so-called "home track," but Wednesday was all about seeing family and friends.

"Anytime I can come home it's great," Line said. "I love coming home, and it just doesn't happen often enough, so to come here in this great weather makes for a great night."

Still, their work is racing, and Anderson said the team is right where they want to be at this point in the season.

"We're right on schedule," Anderson said. "Jason's got four wins, I've got three. He's number one in points, I'm number two in points, so really not a lot of room to complain. Obviously, you want to win every race you go to, but to be one and two at this point, two races before we go to our playoffs situation, means we're in pretty good shape."
