Minneapolis, MN (NNCNOWl.com) --- The No. 19 University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) men's hockey team jumped out to a one-goal lead before the Gophers answered with six goals to rout the Bulldogs 6-1 on Friday night at Mariucci Arena. Six different Gophers netted goals for the top team in the country to mark their fourth straight win. The Bulldogs lone goal came from Charlie Sampair in the first period. Minnesota netminder Adam Wilcox stopped a career-high 36 shots in the win. Starting goaltender Aaron Crandall got taken out in the second period after allowing five goals. Matt McNeely finished the game for UMD and gave up one goal in 27 minutes. UMD (5-5-1) and Minnesota (9-1-1) face off again on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. in the series finale.
