Moorhead, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The No. 11 University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) football team and Minnesota State University-Moorhead combined for 114 points and 1,304 yards of total offense as the Bulldogs ousted the Dragons 69-45 on Saturday.
Running backs Austin Sikorski and Logan Lauters both turned in career-high performances. Sikorski ran for 212 yards and three touchdowns on 21 carries while Lauters finished with 153 yards on the ground and three scores on 17 attempts.
Redshirt freshman quarterback Drew Bauer also had a career day with 13 of 21 passes for 178 yards and three touchdowns. Junior Zach Zweifel caught eight passes for a career-best 105 yards and one touchdown.
The Bulldogs came in as the sixth best in total defense nationally and had allowed the ninth fewest per game before allowing 685 yards to the Dragons. MSU-Moorhead quarterback Jake Hodge finished the day with five touchdown passes.
UMD (5-1) returns to Malosky Stadium next Saturday to host Minot State. Kickoff is set for 1:05 p.m.
