No. 11 North Dakota Eases by No. 20 UMD

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Zane Gothberg stopped all 33 shots he faced to turn in his first career shutout and Luke Johnson scored twice as No. 11 North Dakota got past No. 20 University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) 3-0 on Friday night.

Rocco Grimaldi added a goal in the second period for North Dakota who moved into a tie for first-place in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) with St. Cloud State. The Bulldogs remain in a tie for fifth place.

Senior goaltender Aaron Crandall finished with 18 saves in his 14th straight start for UMD.

UMD (13-12-4) and North Dakota (17-9-3) will meet again on Saturday night at 7:07 p.m.
