No. 3 'Dogs Make Easy Work of No. 8 Mustangs

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The No. 3 University of Minnesota-Duluth volleyball team had no problem handling No. 8 Southwest Minnesota State University as they beat the Mustangs in straight sets Saturday afternoon at Romano Gymnasium.

The Bulldogs suffered just eight errors in the match while holding their opponent to a .115 hitting percentage. Sophomore middle blocker Monica Turner led UMD with 14 kills while freshman middle blocker Sydnie Mauch racked up six blocks.

On UMD's senior day, senior outside hitter and Hibbing native Kate Lange recorded a double-double with 11 kills and digs. Senior defensive specialist Elizabeth Benusa also had four digs and a trio of service aces.
