Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Northern Exposure AAA hockey tournament celebrated its eighth year with 56 teams ranging in age from 10 to 18-years-old from all over the country taking part in the weekend's action at six local rinks.
The tournament, founded by Duluth native Kasey Yoder, has grown from 20 team to maximum capacity and said it's a highlight of his to be able to come back home and help out.
"When the puck drops, it's a lot of fun to watch all the families and watch all the players and seeing everyone enjoy themselves up here in Duluth. I grew up here and love to see it. That's what keeps it going.
The tournament wraps up on Sunday afternoon with championship games starting at 3:30 p.m.
