Northland's Loy Becomes Career HR Leader

Ashland, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Northland College senior Jayna Loy became the program's all-time career home runs leader on Tuesday afternoon, hitting her 20th career homer in a 10-1 Lumberjills win over North Central.

Loy was the 2013 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) player of the year and is again one of the league's top hitters in 2014, having hit for a .488 average thus far with 24 runs batted in and five home runs.

The Ontario, Calif. native is also one of the Lumberjills' main pitchers, having posted a record of (5-10) this year with a 5.27 earned run average.
