Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The fourth-seeded University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) women's hockey team led by a goal in the final period before Ohio State rallied and scored twice to win 3-2 to force a Game 3 in the first round of the WCHA playoffs.

Zoe Hickel scored the game's first goal midway through the second period only to have the Buckeyes answer minutes later. Senior captain Jamie Kenyon put UMD back on top in the third before Ohio State answered with two goals of their own.

Kayla Black finished with 13 saves in net for the Bulldogs while Lisa Steffes stopped 32 shots in the win.

UMD and Ohio State will meet on Sunday at 6:07 p.m. in a decisive game three. The winner advances to next weekend's Frozen Faceoff in Bemidji.
