Osterberg, Bulldogs Blank U.S. Under-18 Team

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) men's hockey team used a goal and two assists from Kyle Osterberg en route to shutting out the U.S. Under-18 National Team 7-0 in their first game of 2014 on Friday night.

Osterberg, who used to play for the U-18 National Team, led UMD with a goal and two assists in the second period. Seven different Bulldogs scored in the win including Austyn Young with his first career collegiate goal.

Aaron Crandall, Alex Fons, and Matt McNeely each played a period in the goal for the Bulldogs to combine for the shutout.

Tony Cameranesi, Austin Farley, Caleb Herbert, Joe Basaraba, and Alex Iafallo all scored for the Bulldogs.

UMD returns back to NCHC action next weekend when they hit the road to take on the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
