London, England (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Superior native and St. Scholastica head athletic trainer Kim Moncel arrived in London on July 15, about two weeks before the 2012 Summer Olympic Games were set to begin.
Moncel will be working in the United States athletic clinic, one of six people not associated with a specific sport to be selected for that duty.
The Superior native said before boarding her flight that she planned to take advantage of her time in London before competition starts, using it to enjoy the city and get to know her surroundings.
Moncel officially joined St. Scholastica as its head athletic trainer in 2008, but she has been working with the school since 1997 through SMDC (now Essentia Health).
Moncel also has experience working with Northland high school athletes, having served as the athletic trainer at both Superior and Northwestern.
