Packers' Bulaga Has Torn ACL, Out for Year

August 5, 2013 Updated Aug 5, 2013 at 2:31 PM CDT

Green Bay, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Green Bay Packers offensive lineman Bryan Bulaga has a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his knee and will likely miss the entire 2013 season, that according to a report on Monday by Bob McGinn of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

McGinn first reported the news on Sunday night, but wrote again on Monday afternoon that team doctors have privately confirmed the news despite no official announcement from the team.

Bulaga played nine games in the 2012 season at right tackle for the Packers, but the team shifted him to left tackle during this offseason in hopes of having him protect the blindside of quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

McGinn's report says Bulaga will seek a second opinion on the injury, which occurred sometime during Green Bay's "Family Night" scrimmage on Saturday night.
