Packers Sign QB Young to 1-Year Deal

Green Bay, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- The Green Bay Packers have signed quarterback Vince Young to a one-year contract, that according to a Monday report by Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

Young worked out for the team on Monday morning and was signed Monday afternoon, with the team's expectation being that he will compete for the job of backing up starter Aaron Rodgers.

The 30-year-old Young last played an NFL game in 2011 with Philadelphia, but he was in training camp last season with Buffalo.

In six NFL seasons, Young has amassed 8,964 yards, 46 touchdowns, and 51 interceptions to go along with a 57.9 percent completion rate.
