Minneapolis, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Trevour Plouffe had three hits and knocked in three runs in his first game back after missing 22 games to lead the Twins over the Tigers 6-3 on Saturday night.
Plouffe, who was also celebrating his birthday, played in his first game in almost a month after missing time because of a concussion and left calf strain.
Samuel Deduno had his longest outing of the season for Minnesota, giving up two runs and seven hits to win his third straight start since being recalled in May.
The Twins finished the game with 14 hits. Brian Dozier added an RBI and Joe Mauer knocked in two runs for Minnesota.
Minnesota (30-35) and Detroit (37-29) will meet again on Sunday at 1:10 p.m.
