St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Minnesota scored for the first time in two games, and Jason Pominville's late goal sent the game to overtime, but Columbus was too much, beating the Wild 3-2 in a shootout.
Pierre Marc-Bouchard got the Wild on the board in the first period with his fifth goal of the season and Pominville knotted the game at two a piece late in the third period. Both teams went scoreless in overtime before both Mark Letestu and Cam Atkinson scored in the shootout to lift the Blue Jackets to their third straight win.
It's Minnesota's third straight loss and it leaves them clinging to a two-point lead over the Red Wings, Stars, and Blue Jackets with 47 points.
The Wild hit the road to take on Calgary Monday, April 15 at 8:00 p.m.
