St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Charlie Coyle and Cal Clutterbuck scored goals just 16 seconds apart in the first period on Tuesday night, propelling the Minnesota Wild to a 2-1 win over the visiting Los Angeles Kings at the Xcel Energy Center. Niklas Backstrom made 22 saves in the winning effort, none bigger than a right-to-left diving glove save with just over 10 seconds remaining to keep the score at 2-1. Minnesota is now (25-18-3) this 2012-13 season, with the team's 53 points keeping them in seventh place in the Western Conference with just two games remaining in the regular season.
