Landover, MD (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Robert Griffin III ran for 138 yards and two touchdowns on Sunday afternoon, helping the Washington Redskins to a 38-26 victory over the Minnesota Vikings.

Griffin's second touchdown run went for 76 yards in the fourth quarter, the longest run by a quarterback in the NFL since Kordell Stewart in 1996.

The Washington quarterback also threw a touchdown in the winning effort, completing 17-of-22 passes for 182 yards. Griffin also threw one interception for the Redskins.

The loss snaps a three-game winning streak for the Vikings, who scored just two touchdowns in seven trips to the red zone.

Minnesota quarterback Christian Ponder finished 35-of-52 passing for 352 yards and two scores, but he also threw two interceptions. Percy Harvin was the team's leading receiver, catching 11 passes for 133 yards and adding 100 yards on three kick returns.

The Vikings are now (4-2) this season and will next be in action October 21 at home against Arizona, with kickoff set for 12:00 p.m. at Mall of America Field.
