Rails' Lewis, Scherber Take All-Tourney Honors

Proctor, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Proctor's Jake Lewis and Ian Scherber were named Tuesday to the MSHSL Class AA all-tournament baseball team, that after helping the Rails to a third place finish.

Lewis threw a complete-game shutout in Proctor's quarterfinal win over previously-unbeaten Minneapolis Washburn, allowing just two hits while striking out five hitters.

Scherber, meanwhile, went 3-for-9 at the plate for the Rails in the state tournament. He scored three runs and had two runs batted in during the team's three games.

Proctor finished the year with a (19-7) overall record and with the third place trophy in Class AA.
