Moose Lake, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Moose Lake-Willow River senior Jake Disterhaupt has given a verbal commitment to play Division I football at the University of North Dakota (UND).

The Rebels senior helped his team this past fall to the MSHSL Class AA championship game for a second straight season, where they finished as state runners-up both times.

Disterhaupt rushed for 1,630 yards and 18 touchdowns in his senior campaign, adding 381 receiving yards and five touchdowns.

He is also one of 10 finalists for Minnesota's Mr. Football Award, which is given each year to the state's most outstanding high school player. That award will be handed out at a banquet the morning of Dec. 9.
