Minneapolis, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Ricky Rubio scored a career-high 24 points and added 10 assists and five steals to lead the Minnesota Timberwolves over the Phoenix Suns, 105-93, on Saturday night.
The 'Wolves were without leading scorers Nikola Pekovic and Kevin Love due to injuries, allowing Rubio to hit six of his first nine shots and 8 of 18. Derrick Williams added 15 points and six boards for the Wolves, who honored Head Coach Rick Adelman before the game for his 1,000th victory in the NBA last weekend.
It's the first time Minnesota (30-50) has won at least 30 games in a season without Kevin Garnett on the roster. The Timberwolves host Utah on Monday at 7:00 p.m.
