Freeport, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The St. Scholastica baseball team cruised by Bethany Luteran College in a doubleheader on Sunday en route to their 17th consecutive UMAC regular season title. The Saints finished unbeaten in league play for the second straight year, beating the VIkings 3-1 and 6-2. Kyle Flagstad lead St. Scholastica in game one with an RBI single that tied things up at one. Jake Casareto and Padraic Getchell each knocked in a run. Duluth native Mickie Keuning struck out a career-high 11 batters and went 7.2 innings. It was much of the same for the Saints in game two. Two errors cost the Vikings two runs, but St. Scholastica played small ball to outlast Bethany Lutheran. The Saints will now host the UMAC Tournament starting on Thursday at Wade Stadium.
