Saints Roll Over the Storm in Home Opener

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) After nearly a month spent on the road, the St. Scholastica volleyball team had its first home match of the season on Saturday and made quick work of Crown College, 3-0, on Homecoming Saturday.

The Saints and Storm were close in the beginning of the first two games before St. Scholastica pulled away to win 25-14, 25-10, and 25-19.

Gloria Ohaju led the Saints with 12 kills while Kortney Morrin added 11 kills and seven digs. Erika Birkeland also recorded a team high 33 assists.

St. Scholastica (5-7) plays again on Sunday when they host the University of Minnesota Morris at noon.
