Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The St. Scholastica football team will be searching for its first-ever win in the NCAA Division III tournament this Saturday afternoon when it takes on Bethel in a 2013 first-round game at Mall of America Field.

The Saints have qualified for three straight national tournaments but failed to win the first-round matchup in the previous two. That led to the team adopting a new attitude entering the 2013 season.

"It's been in our mind all year to 'Play 12,' which basically means we have to win a playoff game," junior quarterback Tyler Harper said. "We're going to take that mindset going in, treat it as a business trip, and try to get out first playoff victory."

The Saints are (9-1) entering Saturday's first-round game against the (10-0) Royals, with that game set to start at 12:00 p.m.
