Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The St. Scholastica softball team has been picked as the preseason favorite in the 2013 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) coaches' poll, which was released on Thursday afternoon. The Saints received six of a possible seven first-place votes in the poll, that after the program won its fourth straight UMAC regular season and postseason titles last year. Among the players returning for the Saints are 2011 UMAC player of the year in senior catcher Bonnie Kowalcyk and 2012 National Fastpitch Coaches' Association (NFCA) all-Midwest Region first team selection in sophomore Molly Jadzewski.
