Saints Volleyball Picked Fourth in UMAC

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The St. Scholastica volleyball team has been picked to finish fourth in this year's Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC), that according to a poll of league coaches released on Thursday.

"I don't know that, in my career here, we have been ranked anything but #1 or #2," Saints head coach Dana Moore said. "We've never finished, in my time here, below #3. So we'll see."

The Saints were (17-13) a year ago, but they will have to deal with the loss of graduated outside hitter and two-time UMAC player of the year Anna Zyvoloski.

The team also graduated Duluth, Minn. native Taylor Tyllia and Hermantown, Minn. native Jenny Kienzle, both of whom were starters in the 2012 season.

St. Scholastica will start the 2013 regular season on Aug. 30 at a tournament hosted by St. Olaf, playing matches that day against Macalaster and Carleton.
