Sands, Eyer Prepare for Patriotic Punch Out

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Al "The Haitian Temptation" Sands and Gary "Stone Cold" Eyer are preparing to do battle on Saturday night for the Patriotic Punch Out at Black Bear Casino, the first of a six-event partnership with the resort.

Sands (9-1, 9 knockouts), the Minnesota state champion, will face off with West Virginia state champion, Justin Howes (13-4, 11 KO0, in an eight-round heavyweight match.

"We've done a few things differently, but I don't want to tell everybody what I've been doing differently. It's definitely been paying off in training," Sands said.

'We're just continuing the same mindset, keeping our mind focused on the fight and being a professional in every way with boxing."

Eyer will also be featured as a part of Jungle Boy Boxing. "Stone Cold" (11-2-1, 7 KO) will battle Robbie Cannon (12-8-1, 6 KO) during an eight-bout event.
