Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Al 'The Haitian Temptation' Sands will defend his Minnesota state cruiserweight title this upcoming June against Harvey 'The Sandman' Kilfian, it was announced on Tuesday afternoon by Jungle Boy Boxing Gym.

Sands, a native of Floodwood, Minn., is (13-1) in his professional career and has held the Minnesota state title since April 2013, but this fight will be his first defense of that belt.

The bout will be part of a June 13 card at Grandma's Sports Garden in Duluth, Minn., with that fight coming about two months after Sands won the North American Boxing Association (NABA)-US cruiserweight belt at Black Bear Casino in Carlton, Minn.

Sands and Kilfian have met once before in the ring, with Sands winning that fight via technical knockout (TKO) in the fourth round.
