Sands Wins NABA-US Cruiserweight Belt

Carlton, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Floodwood, Minn. native Al 'The Haitian Temptation' Sands won his first-ever national title on Saturday night, beating Keith Barr for the vacant North American Boxing Association (NABA)-US Cruiserweight belt at Black Bear Casino in Carlton, Minn.

Sands knocked Barr down several times during the fight, using body blows and strong left hooks to control the majority of the fight. It was in the ninth round he scored the winning punch, knocking down Barr for the final time and a technical knockout win.

'The Haitian Temptation' is now (13-1) as a professional boxer, with 12 of those wins coming via knockout.
