Scherzer Stays Unbeaten as Tigers Roll Past Twins

Detroit, MI (NNCNOW.com) --- Max Scherzer earned his seventh win of the season to remain undefeated as the Tigers rolled to a 6-1 over the Twins on Sunday afternoon to wrap-up the four game series.

Scherzer allowed just one run and three hits while striking out six over six solid innings for Detroit. Torii Hunter hit a homer, and Prince Fielder added an RBI for the Tigers.

Mike Pelfrey allowed five runs and five hits in 5 2/3 innings. Minnesota has now lost 11 of its last 12.

The Twins (19-28) travel to Milwaukee to play their border rival Brewers (19-29) on Monday at 1:10 p.m.
